| Since the last shareholder’s meeting in 1999, we have made dramatic improvements to the design of the AOHS. However, having a world class product does not in itself guarantee success. We are also working hard to provide the necessary infrastructure to support the manufacture, storage and distribution of the product when we finally launch. This task is made more complex because the AOHS is entering a global market place. It is imperative that supply chains will be as close as possible to local markets and that means planning not only for the USA but also for Europe. In 2000 facilities providing offices, cubicles for support and sales staff, boardroom and product assembly and maintenance were completed in Orlando Florida, these premises were purpose built by the CEO himself, from an empty office space negotiated with Florida State. This will provide an immediate base serving the USA and Bermuda.
Land availability for a larger manufacturing base in Ontario, Canada has been investigated and provisional agreements have been made that earmarked land for development, with additional space available if required. We hope to build a purpose built production plant at this location in the future, which provide;
- Low taxes, development charges and land costs.
- Convenient location with close proximity to Metropolitan Toronto and the US border.
- Excellent transportation infrastructure.
- Well developed communications and telecommunications infrastructure.
Facilities serving Europe are still to be identified but locations under consideration include parts of the UK and Ireland. |
