| First contact with NASA was made in 2000, who saw the AOHS as a means of solving the problem of administering oral hygiene to their astronauts in space. Since then, there have been meetings between NASA representatives and ourselves (July 2004) about the possible inclusion of the AOHS onboard the space shuttle.
The response from NASA is positive, but the final decision rests with the astronauts, who currently have to swallow the waste produced when cleaning their teeth in space!
Once the final production prototype is built a meeting will be timetabled to allow the astronauts' trial of the machine and to make an assessment of its usefulness to them on possible future space missions.
Should we successfully make NASA one of our customers the benefit to the profile of the product will help ensure future sales in our other world markets. |
